Installation

    Open the dmg

    Double-click the downloaded file to open the WashBear installer window.

    Drag to Applications

    Drag the WashBear icon onto the Applications folder.

  3. 3

    Launch WashBear

    Open WashBear from Applications or Launchpad and follow the first-run steps.

  4. 4

    Grant access when needed

    To scan protected locations, WashBear will ask you to turn on Full Disk Access.

Blocked the first time you open it?

WashBear is not notarized by Apple yet, so macOS says it cannot verify the developer. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, find WashBear near the bottom, click Open Anyway and confirm. You only need to do this once.
